Welcome to Essential Dental, a family practice located in Brackenfell. Led by our practice owner, Dr Talitha Crause, we are dedicated to providing a comforting and relationship-based approach to dentistry and related services.

Dr Talitha Crause completed her B.Ch.D (Stell) in 2003 and has amassed extensive experience in general/family dentistry, including restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident as she recently completed a course in Orthodontics through Progressive Orthodontics, focusing on clear aligners. Prior to opening her own practice, Dr Crause spent 10 years working at Medicross Brackenfell. Known for her kind heart, she enjoys engaging in conversations with her patients to make them feel at ease throughout their dental journey.

Dr Jolandie Engelbrecht also joined Dr Crause at Essential Dental, Dr Engelbrecht Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery (B.ch.D) in 2014 from the University of WesternCape. In 2015 she completed her community service in the Free State. In 2016 she joined a practice in Century City until 2017 when she met and joined Dr Crause at Medicross Brackenfel and then moved together to Essential Dental in 2019. She believes in the holistic approach of Dentistry. She enjoys every bit of it, but with a special interest in aesthetic Dentistry and creating beautiful natural smiles.

We are also fortunate to have Dr Tehjal Ravgee as part of our team. Raised in East London, Dr Ravgee obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.Ch.D) qualification from the University of the Western Cape and completed her community service at Empilweni Gompo in East London. She possesses a true passion for dentistry, driven by her desire to help patients regain their confidence through a beautiful smile. Dr Ravgee has a specific interest in aesthetic dentistry and pediatric dentistry. Dr Ravgee is known for her friendly and warm demeanor, along with her extensive knowledge and professionalism. She approaches her work with diligence, ensuring that each patient’s experience in the dental chair is pleasant from beginning to end. She takes the time to engage and listen to her patients, addressing their concerns and making their comfort a top priority.
